About Event

LAP DOG CHALLENGE 2023 – You don't have to be mad to take part............ but it helps!

Lap Dog Challenge held its inaugural event in Nov 2016. The event, now firmly embedded in Hong Kong's sporting calendar, is now in its 8th year, having raised just short of HK$11 million for the Lighthouse Club Hong Kong Benevolent Fund (HKBF).https://www.lighthouseclubhk.com/

Lap Dog Challenge 2023 will be held on Saturday 9th December at the Stanley Ho Sports Institute athletics track, Pok Fu Lam starting at 7am.

Just in case you were wondering, Lap Dog Challenge comprises teams of 5, with each team member tasked with completing as many laps of a 400m running track as they can within 5 hours. It is NOT a relay. Some will sprint, some will run, some will march, some will walk and some will stop.

The team member's herculean efforts serve one purpose............to raise funds through sponsorship for the HKBF.

This year as as last, we're tickled "PINK" as we have agreed with the Lighthouse Club Hong Kong that 10% of the sponsorship raised will be given to the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation.https://www.hkbcf.org/en/

We have 10 teams in total representing: BK Asia Pacific, Dragages, Gammon, Hip Hing, JEB, Leighton, Lighthouse Club Hong Kong, Secretariat, TCG and WT Partnership. 50 team members will be looking to beat the 2022 total monies raised and possibly total laps run!

We understand that team members have been pushing themselves through a gruelling training program lasting anywhere from 5 months to 5 minutes!

All we’re asking from you is some generosity with sponsorship of a runner or a team. 10% of the funds raised will be donated to the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation by the Lighthouse Club’s charity.

HIT THE "DONATE NOW" BUTTON............. AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!

(Please do not hit the fundraise button )

Please come and support the runners on the day and encourage them around the track.
