As the year comes to a close and we reflect on how the year has gone for us, let us continue to appreciate the gift of life that we have and remember that every life matters. Some of us may not realise that cancer kills more Singaporeans in a year than any other disease. Cancer not only affects the afflicted but also impacts those who love him, those who work with him and those who depend on him. At Singapore Cancer Society, we do our best to ensure the afflicted and his family is not alone in the fight against cancer. From free cancer screening to subsidised cancer treatment; providing free transport to the hospital, home tuition for the children and palliative care for home-bound patients, we do whatever we can to minimise the impact of cancer. We have great staff, volunteers, social workers and a medical team to help us in our mission. But we can't do it without your support. Every contribution you make helps us serve our beneficiaries and continue the fight against cancer. This festive season, as we celebrate and share our lives with family and friends, let us remember those in need, especially those whose lives have been impacted by cancer.
