In the face of the second devastating wave of COVID-19 in India, Capgemini and Aide et Action, as partners in action for several months now, have decided to join their efforts to respond to this new crisis and protect the extremely vulnerable and marginalized populations directly affected.
Capgemini and Aide et Action are calling for global solidarity.

Aide et Action collaborates with teachers, parents, local authorities, governments, health centers and partners to ensure children, youth and adults, get the support they need during and after this crisis.

WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE?

1. Facilitate the supply of Oxygen (procuring Oxygen Cylinders, Oxygen Concentrators), basic medicines, health kits and emergency medicines by bringing together service providers, CSOs, CBOs, government departments and Corporate entities.
2. Assisting families in self-quarantine/containment zones
3. Assisting migrant families’ safe transportation so that they reach their homes safe and uninfected
4. Large scale awareness drive in local languages, especially encouraging people to get vaccinated
5. Setting up co-ordination units and cells in strategic locations to support the needy through a network of service/support providers of both government and non-government
6. Preparing the rural villages in terms of awareness, vaccinations and what needs to be done in support of returnee migrant families. Identifying, capacitating community volunteers who shall form a network of Virtual Community Volunteers and spearhead the support actions at rural areas.
7. Support to few desperate most vulnerable families for their livelihood restoration

Capgemini and Aide et Action are currently focusing on the immediate response.

Aide et Action will further focus on a longer-term approach to limit the negative educational and social impacts of this crisis for vulnerable and marginalized groups, including girls, women and children with disabilities.
