Help Us Build Sewing Room for Future Job Opportunities for People with Special Needs!

About Autism Streetwear Project

Autism Streetwear Project (ASP) is a project to use street culture to raise awareness of autism and socially accept it. Social awareness of autism is very low in the world. People with autism in society are not accepted and rejected. We aim to make autism as acceptable to many people throughout the project as street culture. We humbly think people with autism need our help in trying to fight against the prejudice of the world. We will provide job education programs to help them grow into members of society. We are sure there will be most synergy if our goals and S.E.N.I are combined.

About S.E.N.I
Special Education Needs Institute, otherwise known as SENI, aims to help individuals with special needs integrate into society as a contributing member in the workforce. S.E.N.I incorporates the Early Intervention Program [E.I.P] that refine motor skills in children; Individualised Education Plan [I.E.P] that focuses on the cognitive and academic abilities in individuals; as well as the Individualised Training Program [I.T.P] that develops vocational skills that are translatable and vital in occupations.

Monitoring Across Life Stages
Enrolling in an institution that works with your child across their entire developmental lifespan will provide each child with personal feedback according to their varying special needs. Long-term monitoring of each child will also allow parents to obtain a cohesive assessment of their child’s growth and improvement. Enrolling in an institution that allows children to build long-term relationships and strengthen bonds with their fellow peers can also increase their social skills and capabilities.

Training of Transferable Occupational Skills
Fine motor skills and gross motor skills that are developed during the Early Intervention Program, as well as language skills obtained in the Individualised Education Program will ease the learning process during the Individualised Training Program. In the Individualised Training Program, individuals will learn skills that include organizing, stock checking, designing, and animal grooming. Most of these skills prove to be useful in the workforce, and will allow each individual with special needs to be a valuable asset in society.

Collaboration with International Universities
S.E.N.I also partners with colleges and universities in Hong Kong to provide students with special needs an education that is diverse and unique. Obtaining an overseas education will also allow students to gain new experiences and opportunities that can open up more pathways for the future.

C.A.T Playground
Cat Assisted Therapy Playground joins hands with S.E.N.I to provide children with special needs a therapeutic and educational experience. Moreover, children enrolled in Special Education Needs Institute have the job opportunity in the well-established C.A.T Playground business. Individuals in S.E.N.I’s very own Individualised Training Program [ITP] will also receive business and animal science related courses before venturing into the business world.

Job Opportunities
As the ultimate goal of S.E.N.I is to assist the integration process of individuals with special needs into the real world, those enrolled in this institution will be granted a wide range of job openings due to their special skills and abilities. Future career options include being pet groomers, animal trainers, business workers, and even marketing directors.

Experienced Staff
The teachers at Special Education Needs Institute are all experienced staffs from the industry from various background. Therefore, your child will not only receive care and guidances from health professionals that seek to improve each individual’s physical and mental health but also prepare them for the future. Not only that, older individuals enrolled in the Individualised Training Program will receive formal training in Business related courses designed by Dr. Khew who holds a PhD in Marketing. Moreover, students who prefer other career paths can opt for Animal Care courses also led by Dr. Khew who is certified in Animal Behavioral Sciences.
