About Event

24 Universities across the Midwest Unite to get Kids Back to School. One meal at a Time

Help Us Raise Money for ONE MILLION LUNCHES for rural children in need.

Why? 124 MM Students have dropped out of school to find work because they are hungry. 1 out of 3 rural school children will drop out of school by the third grade to work for food.

Who is the money going to? Advancement for Rural Kids (ARK) a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to eradicating hunger in rural communities to get kids back to school.  ARK’s award winning program has been proven to increase school attendance, eliminate hunger, and end malnutrition. Along with creating new sources of income for parents and community members, partner communities become self-sufficient and the cycle of poverty is broken within just three years.

How much should I donate?
5cents =
One lunch
$15=
Feed 1 STUDENT for 1 School Year
$500 =
Feed an ENTIRE CLASS for 1 School Year

How does ARK do this?
No Handouts, ever.
Ark Partners with Communities have who have dreams and are willing to invest in themselves.
5 cent lunches: Award winning program gives kids organic, lunches harvested from local farms and gardens at the low cost of 5 cents
...And it's working! Classroom attendance is up to 94% and after 3 years the program is self-sustainable.

How else can I help? Help us spread the word by following us on instagram @_foramillion and don't forget to show your support for the movement by posting a photo with your ___for a million sign and tag us!
