My Story
Who are we?
We are a group of university students representing Heriot-Watt University Malaysia that has come together with a common mission—to make a positive impact on the lives of the underprivileged communities, particularly the Orang Asli. Fueled by compassion and a shared commitment to social responsibility, we have directed our efforts towards supporting and raising funds for the noble cause of Epic Homes, an NGO dedicated to building homes for those in need.
Why are we doing this?
Recognizing the challenges faced by the Orang Asli, particularly in terms of inadequate housing and living conditions, we felt a deep calling to contribute to positive change. Epic Homes, with its mission to construct homes for marginalized communities, resonated profoundly with our values. Their focus on sustainable and culturally sensitive housing solutions inspired us to join hands and embark on a journey of impact. With as little as 30 volunteers, Epic Homes is able to construct and build a home within 3 days!
Our Mission
Our fundraising initiatives for Epic Homes take various forms, reflecting our creativity, unity, and determination. From organizing charity events and awareness campaigns on our campus to leveraging the power of social media for crowdfunding, we are utilizing every resource at our disposal to raise both awareness and funds for this worthy cause.
As we continue our fundraising journey, we hope to inspire others by showcasing that small acts of kindness and unity can lead to significant transformations in the lives of those less fortunate. Our bond with Epic Homes is more than just a partnership; it is a testament to the spirit of compassion, unity, and the belief in a brighter future for all.
Together, we are not only students at Heriot-Watt Malaysia; we are agents of change, builders of hope, and advocates for a world where everyone has a place to call home.
