We are raising money in an effort to make a difference for the community of individuals with autism and their families.

My Story

Update 03/06/23: Today, we have visited Raudhah Autisme and conducted the agriculture activity together with members of Raudhah Autisme. We have prepared the area by weeding and applying a weed mat to allow space for the vegetables that are to be cultivated in polybags. With the guidance one of our agriculture sponsor, Green World Genetics, have shared their agricultural knowledge in methods of planting and taking care of the vegetables. By the end of the event day, we have managed to prepare 150 polybags with sprouts of mustard greens. Please have a look at the gallery for some photos of the event!

We are a group of 6 students from Universiti Malaya (UM) undertaking this fundraiser as a part of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is becoming more common globally. However, according to The National Autism Society of Malaysia (NASOM), all the NGOs combined today do not handle more than 1500 children. We have also identified the key challenges faced by the community of individuals with autism and their families which includes the following:
1. Lack of awareness and understanding
2. Limited access to services and support
3. Financial burden
4. Education and employment opportunities
5. Social Isolation

Hence, we want to establish a self-sufficient system that enables the center to continue supporting autism individuals and have a significant influence in the community which leads to our mission in this program.

Our mission is to empower and support the autism center in their journey towards self-sustainability. Through our CSR project, we aim to provide the necessary resources, skills, and knowledge to the center to achieve financial independence and long-term viability. We recognize the importance of the center's work in providing vital services and support to individuals with autism and their families, and we are committed to ensuring that the center can continue to fulfill its mission for years to come.

Our efforts will focus on identifying and implementing sustainable business models, developing partnerships with local organizations, and fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within the center. Ultimately, we hope to create a self-sustaining ecosystem that enables the center to thrive and make a meaningful impact in the community.

Our project objectives are:
1. To develop the area available to Raudhah Autisme with provision of raw materials and seeds necessary to start a sustainable agriculture project at Raudhah Autisme centre
2. To provide professional knowledge and skills training in the area of agriculture to the individuals at the centre.
3. To improve Raudhah Autisme's website and e-commerce capability of the centre.

The funds raised through this fundraiser program will be utilised for an agriculture program within Raudhah Autisme's site of operation. It will be used to fund:
1. Fencing for an agriculture farm
2. Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) agriculture units
3. Chiller for vegetables
4. Signage Board for Raudhah Autisme
5. Soil, seeds and tools
