My Story

Hello everyone. I am so excited to share that I will be taking on the 100km Sahara challenge in October this year. I am a Hong Kong-based counsellor and clinical hypnotherapist working towards my doctorate in psychology. I am deeply passionate about researching the benefits of self-care and how it can positively impact our lives. For me, exercise has always been a powerful self-care tool and one of the most effective strategies I use to help me decompress and gain clarity when I am stressed or struggling with a problematic personal, academic or professional issue. This challenge is a chance for me to take a short break from my work and studies and raise money and awareness for a deserving charity.

I am fortunate to work with a diverse population of clients from many different cultures and with a wide range of presenting problems. While the global stigma attached to mental health is slowly reducing, we still have a long way to go, particularly in Hong Kong and other parts of Asia. Therefore, I have chosen to run for Mind HK. This organisation has been instrumental in raising mental health awareness and providing education to change attitudes towards those facing mental health challenges, and promoting the understanding, acceptance and accessibility of different treatment inventions. 

I am asking for your support in this vital cause. Your donation, no matter how small, will make a difference in the lives of those struggling with mental health challenges. Thank you for your generosity and for joining me on this scorching hot, long and sandy adventure!
