Kath Magpantay is fundraising for Save the Children Philippines

I am Kathleen and I’ve stepped up to be a Hero from Home by raising funds for Save the Children Philippines!

My Story

I’m Kath, a youth leader in Milan. I’ve always enjoyed teaching and spending time with kids, and I believe it’s important to guide and support them as they grow up. This is the best time to help the children, especially in the Philippines, and I’d love to share this opportunity with others.

Many children in the Philippines are suffering from extreme hunger and undernutrition while a significant number of learners may not be able to return to school or take part in online classes as their parents face loss of income and livelihood. This is a time for us to unite and give hope to the vulnerable, marginalized, and deprived Filipino children who need healthcare, education, and protection during the COVID-19 pandemic. I will be creating digital chibi illustrations for everyone that will donate and help me raise money for them, through Save the Children Philippines Organization!

The organization has also been implementing Project ARAL (Access to Resources for Alternative Learning) to help children from low income families, those with disabilities, and those who face risks of being left out in school by providing innovative learning modalities. Let's show them our support and spread some love, art and hope, through this fun, artistic and creative challenge! Let's help these children create a brighter future.

Thank you for all your incredible support! With your help we were able to reach our 20,000 goal in just a week. Just imagine how many children we'll be able to help! Because of this, we decided to raise our goal to PHP 35,000! Let's unite to help and protect our beloved filipino children!
