My Story

In order to raise money for cancer research as well as with the hope to spread awareness about the disease, Darrell Fox collaborates with Cancer Research Malaysia and the High Commission of Canada to lead the start of the Terry Fox Run in Kepong Metropolitan Park, Kuala Lumpur. Eventually, the event successfully garner funds of over RM130,000.

That event led us, Diploma in Finance and Investment students from TARUMT Penang Campus, to ruminate, as a student, what can be done by us to support cancer patients. Thus, after some discussion, we decided to organize a fundraising event, in conjunction with our Civic project to raise a targeted fund of RM1000 for Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital, which is a hospital dedicated to providing the best and most affordable cancer treatment and care.
