My Story

Hi everyone, I am Ashika from Tayor's College. Cancer is something personal to me and also something everyone should know about to help fight them and their loved ones against. As a part of the Here For You project (H4Y) by AISEC Malaysia, we aim to raise funds for the National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM) and believe we can do it together bit by bit. Be the cure for cancer.

AIESEC is a global platform for young people to explore and develop their leadership potential. We are a non-political, independent, not-for-profit organization run by students and recent graduates of institutions of higher education. Its members are interested in world issues, leadership, and management.

More about NCSM 

Their mission: To ensure that no Malaysian fears cancer by creating an understanding of cancer that leads to prevention and early detection, and by providing the best possible care and support for those affected by cancer.

Their vision: Living in a world without cancer. 

Services provided by NCSM: 
  1. Providing highly subsidised screening for the public and free screening for the underprivileged.
  2. Providing nuclear imaging services at a highly subsidised rate.
  3. Providing a home away from home’ for underprivileged child cancer patients – and their caregivers from outside of Kuala Lumpur.
  4. Reach out to the underprivileged communities and educate them on cancer prevention and early detection.
  5. Providing support and cancer information to patients, survivors, caregivers, and the public.
What does NCSM do?

Educate: To minimise cancer in Malaysia by raising public awareness on the prevention, screening, and early detection of cancer through education

Care: To increase access to cancer services in Malaysia by providing affordable as well as advanced screening and diagnostic facilities

Support: To empower individuals and those affected with cancer to maintain the highest possible quality of life

What is Here For You? (H4Y)

Here For You is a project run by students where we learn about as well as raise awareness for cancer through fundraising and the power of knowledge.
