Amir (not real name) is a 16-year-old Indonesian boy who has been been diagnosed with a psychotic disorder and subsequently admitted into the psychiatry ward of a local hospital sometime in June.

He was brought in to the emergency section of the hospital due to complaints - he was found wandering around a local market and acting abnormally. He has since received full treatment but understandbly, is unable to afford the hospital bill.

This is where a kind man known as Uncle Bala, had stepped forward to assist Amir as his guarantor and caregiver. Amir has stated that he is very happy and comfortable under the care of Uncle Bala’s family.

Uncle Bala has kindly agreed to care for Amir but requires our help to pay the outstanding amount for the hospital billing. We hope we could appeal to your generous spirit in paying off the remainder of the bill and provide Amir some assistance during his recovery. We are fundraising the following amount:

Outstanding medical bill: RM 5000

Monthly stipend: RM 500 x 6 months= RM 3000

Total: RM 8,000
