Hi, my name is Ryan. I'm 13. I am a Year 9 student at Gordonstoun School.
For the rest of this term, my school house - Cummings House,
will be embarking on a charity adventure. We will push ourselves to run, walk,
swim or cycle the distance of the adventurer Shackleton's most infamous voyage.
From South Georgia round the pole, and back. For those of you who are unaware
Shackleton’s voyage is unique due to it being a failure, the original plan was
to cross the arctic but after a number of unplanned uncontrollable events, the
adventure turned survival story culminating in Shackleton and a few others
sailing an old whaling boat across the Atlantic sea in a bid to get help for
the rest of the crew stranded on elephant island. They were successful and
saved the lives of everyone who was on the endurance crew.
