香港跨性別人士若需要成功轉換性別，必需通過真實生活體驗的階段，並二十四小時以所屬意的性別生活。心理上的抗拒，再加上身體上的變化，在避免引起恐慌的前題下，不會使用原生性別的洗手間。另一方面，由於身份證上的性別仍為原生性別，往往在使用所屬意性別的洗手間之時，受到不堪的刁難。本案件的事主 X 小姐，她在過渡期間向僱主出具醫生證明，仍未獲僱主批准使用女洗手間。今天 X 小姐已完成變性手術，身份證性別已更改，可名正言順地使用女性空間。兩年以來，同樣事情循環地發生在其他跨性別人士身上。X小姐決定在追訴期期滿之前，為跨性別人權打一杖，控告僱主歧視，還跨性別人士的廁所使用權。X 小姐財力有限，無力支付高昂訟費。現透過香港世界公民協會眾籌，希望籌得十五萬港元，彌補法援的差額，為跨性別平權踏出一小步。我們已製作了兩段視頻，一是 X 小姐的公開籌款呼籲，另一是由油管 (YouTube) 主持徐㴓喬帶領， X 小姐和另外兩位跨性別者對相關議題的小組討論。大家可親往藝廊觀看。
For transgender people in Hong Kong aiming to change their gender marker on their ID card, they must undergo real life experience during their transition and live 24 hours in their desired gender without interruption. Due to psychological resistance and the gradual changes in their bodies, for avoidance of creating panic, they would no longer use washrooms of their birth gender. On the other hand, as their ID cards still show their birth gender, when they try to use washrooms of their desired gender, many have to face awkward obstacles. Our case owner Miss X, despite having presented the doctor's certification to her employer during her transition, was refused access to female washrooms. Today Miss X has completed the sex reassignment surgery and successfully changed her ID card to female. She no longer has issues accessing female spaces. Two years passed. the same thing has happened recurrently to other transgender people. Before the end of the limitation period, Miss X has decided to fight on behalf of the transgender community their rights of access to their desired washrooms by suing her employer of discrimination. Miss X has limited financial resources and is unable to absorb the huge costs of litigation. Through the Association of World Citizens in Hong Kong, she hopes to raise HKD150,000 to cover the shortfall from her legal aid application and takes this small step to advance transgender rights in Hong Kong. We have produced two videos. One is appeal from Miss X. Other is a small group discussion about related issues led by YouTuber Asha, with Miss X in presence and accompanied by two transmen.
