Dealing with the aftermath of a tragic event can be traumatising and devastating for the survivors and the witnesses. Arts therapy can however be an important tool to enable people to give expression to feelings for which they have no words, providing emotional release and gradually overcoming their traumas.
The Red Pencil (International) is in the midst of planning an arts therapy programme in Istanbul, Turkey. As we intend to reach out to the hundreds of people who were affected by the incident, we seek your generous support in funding for this upcoming project, so that the arts therapists can provide the best setting, materials and treatment possible for the victims.
