My Story
Hello, everyone. My name is Angelee, and I'm sharing a piece of my life with you, hoping you might be a part of something truly meaningful. I'm not just a teacher; I'm a simple resident in my village, navigating a challenging journey to make a difference in my family's life and the community around me.
Life has taken unexpected turns. Despite being a licensed teacher, I find myself unable to teach in a public school. My father, my family's rock, had his foot amputated due to diabetes, and my duty shifted to taking care of him. This led me away from the traditional teaching path.
Our family is not well-off. My mom, a hardworking OFW for years, sacrificed to support my studies and my father's medical needs. Despite her efforts, we couldn't build a decent home. I've been working from home, earning a modest income of 3 USD per hour for 7 hours a day. It's not enough to cover our basic needs, let alone the dreams I hold close to my heart.
Now, I'm reaching out to you for a chance at a fresh start. I want to establish a tutorial center in my town, focusing on literacy, especially reading comprehension. Many children in my community go to school, but they need extra support to thrive in their studies.
Your help won't just change my family's life; it will help me give back to my community. I dream of a tutorial center that becomes a hub of knowledge and encouragement for the children in my town.
But I can't ignore the pressing medical needs of the elderly in my neighborhood, including my Aunt. Like my father, she lost a leg to diabetes and needs a prosthetic foot. My father needs a wheelchair for mobility. These essentials are beyond my reach with my current job.
