I am going to take part in the 2020 Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 (160km) event on 16th this August to to raise money for supporting Safe Schools, a disaster risk reduction capacity-building programme which provides children with the vital knowledge and skills to survive natural disasters. The programme in the year of 2020 focuses on Cambodia, Thailand and the Philippines, and aims to share best practice and knowledge with other countries in Southeast Asia. I appreciate your support and please wish me luck.

My Son’s favorite character is Ironman and he gaves me the cheeky laugh out loud whenever I tell him your Daddy is Ironman indeed 😊. Running has been a passion ever since my first born few years ago and I have Ran, Swam a little and Riding will be next. To take part in Ironman 70.3 within the next 5 years is my goal, to be my Son’s favorite character and also to lead by example. Looking at my child, I know how lucky we are to lives in this part of the world where essentials have never been a worry. Many children across the region suffers a different fate affected by disasters, whether through loss of life or from diseases related to malnutrition and poor water and sanitation. Prudence Foundation, in partnership with Plan International, has been supporting Safe Schools, a disaster risk reduction capacity-building programme which provides children with the vital knowledge and skills to survive natural disasters. The programme now focuses on Cambodia, Thailand, and the Philippines, and aims to share best practice and knowledge with other countries in Southeast Asia. Hence, I am riding in the upcoming Prudential Ride London 100 miles. With this uphill challenge, I hope you can support by donating in this good cause. We can make a difference!

Hello friends, I am joining Prudential Asia team to ride 100 miles in Prudential Ride London 2020 which will be held in August 2020. This activity is part of fundraising effort that is fully supported by Prudence Foundation in partnership with PLAN International, an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality. The fund collected through this activity will be used to build "Safe Schools" - a disaster risk reduction capacity-building program which provides children with vital knowledge and skills to survive natural disasters. In countries that are prone to natural disasters such as tsunami, flood, cyclone, earthquake and drought; children are affected the most by loss of life or diseases related to malnutrition, poor water & sanitation. "Safe Schools" aims to help children cope with such adversity by giving life-saving education, ensuring education continuity, raising public awareness of school safety, and preparing them for emergency. Prudence Foundation & PLAN international are now prioritizing to build "Safe School" in ASEAN regions (current focus is Cambodia, Thailand, and Philippines), while scaling up to other South East Asia countries. Chương trình mà Plan đang thực hiện là Chăm sóc và phát triển trẻ thơ toàn diện ; Giáo dục, Nước sạch và vệ sinh; Bảo vệ trẻ em, Đảm bảo quyền công dân và Quản lý nguy cơ thảm họa. Tại Việt nam , Plan đã hiện diện từ năm 1993. Mục tiêu đến năm 2021 là Plan Việt Nam sẽ hành động để 2 triệu trẻ em gái từ 1.875 cộng đồng tại Việt Nam được học tập, lãnh đạo, quyết định và phát triển. Prudential là một trong những đối tác quan trong của Plan với những hoạt động gây quỹ hàng năm. Ngày 16/8/2020, Prudential tổ chức giải đua xe đạp tai London nhằm gây quỹ ủng hộ cho tổ chức này. Tôi cũng may mắn được chọn là một trong 25 thành viên đại diện của Pru châu Á tham gia cuộc thi. Vì vậy, tôi đã lập ra Quỹ này để ủng hộ cho Plan. The program now focuses on some Southeast countries like Cambodia, Thailand, Philippines, and aims to share best practice and knowledge with other countries in Southeast Asia. The funds raised will save lives of children and ensure education continuity by: supporting the risk reduction and resilience education to children through development of child-friendly learning materials and facilitation of peer-to-peer education building the capacity of the school teachers and government officials on Safe Schools models facilitating school emergency preparedness and response plans as well as education continuity plans promoting Safe Schools in the ASEAN region. On Aug 16, 2020, Prudential holds Prudential RideLondon charity ride to help raise fund for Plan.I am a rider representing Prudential Vietnam along with 24 other colleagues rigourously selected from around Asia for the Pru RideLondon. Both the 100-mile and 46-mile routes finish outside Buckingham Palace on The Mall in central London. 25 Prudential employees from Asia will join the Prudential Team to take on the challenge of the 100-mile and 46-mile cycling events to help raise funds for PLAN International.
