We're a group of students from Malaysian Institute of Art City Campus, pursuing Diploma in Interior Design, who are advocating on caring about the old folks and striving hard to raise awareness essentials which is highly demanding especially during this Covid-19 pandemic.Who are we fundraising for?We have notified that older population grows dramatically, Charity Old Folk Home is facing the dilemma of overcrowding. They are running low of wheelchair-friendly bathrooms, planning to increase the bed capacity from 35 to 80 beds to shelter more underprivileged elderly, add wheelchair-friendly bathrooms, separate the male and female dorm, etc. The living is concerning as they are having greater risk for the Covid-19 infections. Therefore, our team from Malaysian Institute of Art City Campus KL has decided to kick-start this fundraising campaign in hopes to help these underprivileged old folks during difficult times like this. All the donations collected will helped the elderly have a better Home. What are we fundraising for? We are planning to uplift the living environment. Total fundraising goal: RM 1000Things we target:-1) Repair the leaking roofs of corridors.2) Increase capacity of beds from 35 to 80 beds. 3) Add facilities. Why Amitabha Malaysia? Amitabha Malaysia is an organisation in fundraising for caring shelter. Today, they have set up few centres within KL and Johor area. They are upholding the motto of "Help the Needy & Relieve the distressed". Amitabha Malaysia extends their helping hands to the less fortunate nationwide regardless of religious beliefs, ethnics and races and ensure that every cent will spent for the truly deserving.

Family of 17-year old teenager Tan Chee Kiat is desperately raising medical fund of RM130,000 for Leukemia treatment. In 2016, Chee Kiat was first diagnosed with Philadelphia Chromosome Positive Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia – a type of white blood cell cancer among childhood. His uncle, Tan Fui Sim is taking care of Chee Kiat as his father is a stroke patient since 10 years back and his mother passed away during his battle with illness. To add to the catastrophe, Chee Kiat has no siblings. “We are actively looking for suitable bone marrow transplant donor all these years. The Movement Control Order (MCO) halted the process despite Tzu Chii Taiwan ascertained a 100% matching donor,” said the 62-year old retiree. Tan, has a family on his own, is facing much difficulties in raising up the medical costs for Chee Kiat. Chee Kiat’s condition worsened early this year and doctor confirmed on his relapse which required immediate treatment. With all countries gateway closed due to COVID-19 outbreak, doctor has identified Blinatumomab 1-2 Cycle treatment for Chee Kiat.
