PROBLEM Pertubuhan Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti (PPDK) Selayang was built in the 1991. Due to that, this building has not been repaired for a long time, especially since the wall paints have faded due to the rainy and hot weather in Malaysia. Therefore, this campaign was held to raise funds to repaint the PPDK building. SOLUTIONPPDK Selayang residents together with students with disabilities will hold a gotong-royong to paint the building. Paint colors have already been chosen according to the suitability of the building. Equipment for painting such as brushes are also needed to facilitate the smooth running of the gotong-royong programme. The PPDK fence and building painting programme will be held on 27, 28 and 29 March 2022. A total of 10 volunteers will be needed to ensure the program runs smoothly with the help of volunteers. Thus, the painting work will be completed faster.IMPACTThe learning sessions for students with disabilities will be able to be conducted more interestingly when the building has been painted in more attractive colors than before. Apart from that, the PPDK area will also look more cheerful and in turn be able to increase the morale of employees and students with disabilities. Therefore, the contribution from you will be able to help brighten up the days of the disabilities students at PPDK Selayang.

The sponsorship fees of speech therapist for disabled children from poor and lower income families. 18 of 30 our disabled children needs support from sponsor to continue and maximize the speechtheraphy session at the cost of up to RM 400 monthly. Without support from sponsors they only could get 2 - 3 sessions in monthly, is far enough from 8 session in monthly.

Cause by Pandemic Covid-19, the center are disallowed to operate by goverment until the pandemic is over. All activities such as rehabilitation, education and training via online or long distance only. But to keep the center, we need to pay RM5,500.00/monthly to the owner. Goverment was granted RM3,000.00 monthly but RM2,500.00 bourne by the society it self. During the pandemic, donation receive almost zero, even not enough to fullfill monthly utilities bills and to run the office. We're lucky the owner understand the situation and not chase us out, but debt are also a debt need to be settle. By the way, we are inviting kind hearted donors to help us in settling the renting debt for 12 months (July 2020 - Jun 2021) with the amount RM30,000.00 (Thirty Thousand only)
