Fundraising for:
TNC / The Nature Conservancy

Hello, it's me again, hiking again, raising funds for charity again. This time, I'm jointly raising funds with Dave Choi to try and save the planet from climate change, or at least, slow it down a little. Funds we raise will go to The Nature Conservancy (TNC).WhatThe world’s temperature is rising, the climate is changing, and the occurrence of extreme weather events is increasing. Across Asia Pacific, communities are facing increased risks of rising sea levels and unprecedented storms. Globally, experts predict that one-fourth of the planet’s current species will be headed for extinction by 2050 if the warming trend continues at its current rate. Today, dozens of species are going extinct every single day. This problem is human-caused. This problem is also human-solvable.HowFor the past 10 years, the annual Moontrekker has been a major sponsor of TNC. Funds raised will go towards the amazing work that TNC does in 72 countries in the areas of slowing down climate change, freshwater conservation, land preservation, ocean rejuvenation, fighting pollution in cities, and wildlife conservation.WhenThis year's Moontrekker takes place between 18-19 October 2019. WhereOvernight hike on Lantau Island, starting from Mui Wo and ending at Cheung Sha Beach, 30km in total. What's in it for youGood karma, cleaner air, more predictable weather, more fluffy animals, tax deductible for HK tax payers (not to be taken as tax advice). On behalf of our planet, we thank you.Charmaine and Dave
