Fundraising for:
Angkor Hospital for Children

Although the standard of living is steadily improving, Cambodians continue to suffer from widespread poverty across the country. Many of the preventable illnesses suffered by children are symptoms of this deep-rooted poverty: everything from lack of decent shelter, clean water and nutritious food make it difficult for children to thrive.   A group of Vitol staff is taking part in the Get Active Weekend Angkor Half Marathon and Bike4Kids ride on 2nd and 3rd December to raise money for Angkor Hospital for Children.  Please donate to help us reach our fundraising target… Every donation, no matter how small really does count!

Angkor Hospital for Children

Although the standard of living is steadily improving, Cambodians continue to suffer from widespread poverty across the country. Many of the preventable illnesses suffered by children are symptoms of deep-rooted poverty. While we are living comfortably in developed or developing countries, it is easy for us to neglect there are people in other parts of the world who doesn't even have half of what we are enjoying. From lack of decent shelter, clean water, nutritious food to lack of education, there are many who are much less fortunate than we are, thriving everyday just to survive. I wasn't a runner and I certainly not used to run long distance like a half marathon. But I hope I can create a little difference by running for a cause - to create awareness and raise funds for children in Ang Kor Wat Hospital so that they can receive treatment when they are ill no matter they can afford it or not. While I am training for the run, I sincerely hope you can support me or support the children in Cambodia by clicking the donation button, knowing that every cents you donate is making the world a better environment for some to live.
