We adopted Momo when he was 2 months old. Ever since, he's brought a lot of joy to our family. He is playful, energetic, great with people and other dogs. He's just turned 1 this month! We are excited for this meaningful event and hoping to raise as much money as we possibly can, in order to help more dogs with a shelter, essential needs, veterinary care, etc. and most importantly, helping them to find a forever loving home!Please help spread the word to make it a successful fundraising event! Your tuition fee will be a donation to HKDR. There are so many dogs in 2 HKDR centres that need your help. Your hard earned money should go to the dogs that give you unconditional love; rather than to the government that screw you. Please donate generously or give us change. My sibling Dolly, Grenache and Pinot are ex-HKDR dogs, and they are very smart. I try to be smart but I just can’t. But being dumb is not a crime, I will use my dumbness to draw your attention to pet adoption. Dolly & Grenache were abandoned in their senior years, while Pinot was tortured and abandoned. My heartfelt thank you to HKDR for saving them which sharply increase the average IQ of the household and the varieties of the poopies. I’m proud to be the dumbest in a smart family.

I am a Rottweiler Cross from HKDR Taipo Homing Centre, and am currently staying with my foster family. I've been abandoned, adopted, surrendered again, and lost my best pal. I also had a tumour in my spleen, and undergone a major surgery. I've been quite unfortunate, but lucky at the same time, because I'm not broken by any of these events - I'm still a handsome, gentle, loving dog. It wouldn't have been possible without HKDR - for rescuing me, giving me lots of love and care, placing me in a foster home, paying for my medical bills (my humans say it's super expensive $$$). A dog rescue doesn't run on love alone, which they already have plenty of, but also donations. Please help me and fellow doggies at the homing centres, and all the abandoned doggies out there. HKDR is a no-kill facility.

As those who know me Merlin my dog from HKDR was very dear to me. Since I adopted him I wanted to join in this charity walk but due to my previous job I was never available. But since I've changed jobs I have my weekends back but my dear friend has moved on. So to continue walking on for him I decided to join each year's Peak to Fong walk. Please help me raise some funds so my walking will be useful ^^

I am hoping to raise HK$10,000 this year, which is roughly 1% of HKDR’s target fundraising target. All funds raised will go towards Hong Kong Dog Rescue’s operating costs, including much needed veterinary care, purchase of dog food, dog beds and kennel supplies. I also have the sponsorship form in the office if you prefer to cash / cheque :) Your donation will help HKDR go above and beyond their goal! WHAT IS HONG KONG DOG RESCUE? Hong Kong Dog Rescue (HKDR) was initially established to save as many dogs and puppies as possible from inevitable death at the Government’s AFCD Centres by taking them out and finding them new homes, but has since expanded to include education and lobbying for changes in the outdated Animal Welfare Laws. Up to 15,000 dogs are destroyed each in Hong Kong simply because they have no home. To date HKDR has found new homes for around 7,000 lucky dogs and puppies, which is a lot of lives saved but still a small percentage of the total number needing help. HKDR’s aim is to increase the number of dogs saved while decreasing the number of dogs abandoned, or simply unwanted. HKDR also has 2 homing facilities in Hong Kong, a huge one in Taipo (where my sponsored girl Giselle is based) and a smaller one in Ap Lei Chau, with cute puppies waiting to find their forever homes.
