Hello!! I am Ahmad Arief, a final year university student at Taylor’s University and I started this fundraising page to support AIESEC and their Speak Up program. They do an amazing job to provide a place for underprivileged children in Malaysia to encounter new experiences as well as help them learn beneficial skills which can’t necessarily be taught in school. I would love to support this cause because of how (at times, unfairly) inaccessible a lot of these things are to these children. Access to technology is a problem for many and helping me with this fundraiser would definitely help lessen that number.I intend to raise at least RM 500 to support AIESEC and the Speak Up program in their efforts to provide these facilities to the affected children. Therefore, I humbly ask that you help me out by sharing this page on your social media sites or by clicking on the “Donate” button.

I feel a personal connection to the cause due to the lack of digital infrastructure provided to support the kids who need laptops to pursue their education successfully. By providing them with the necessary resources you aren't just helping a child in need, but uplifting an entire society, an economy through the initiatives the children of the future are going to bring about change which in turn has started with your support towards this good cause. Therefore, I'd like you to consider the B-40 initiative to bring about change in a world where so many social injustices exist.

In this day and age, not having a laptop is difficult! You can imagine students who need to learn for hours just using their tiny phones to join meetings and open documents, and it will just add their stress from learning. As a student myself, having a laptop helps make learning easier by leaps and bounds. Not having the money to buy a decent laptop is unfortunate and challenging. This is why the money raised is for students under the category B40 who can't afford laptops to have a better learning experience!

The Covid-19 health crisis led to one of the largest disruptions in the history of world education. Beginning in March 2020, ten of the million students attending school in person at all education levels abruptly shifted to online learning due to stay-at-home orders put in place to curb transmission of the virus. Meanwhile, B40 students are facing another issue which is lacking technology gadgets to access online learning. I truly understand their hard situation during the MCO till now. Hence, I would like to share my hand with help to allow them have a better device which is LAPTOP to join the online class or use it for further studying at home. LAST, let's make the world different by donating any amount of your love ! If the donation amount exceeds rm50, I am willing to jump rope for 1000 times a day.

“One Random Act of Kindness at a time."Greetings from the Speak Up Project team from AIESEC in Taylor’s University! We proudly present #GetThemLaptops - an initiative launched by AIESEC in Taylor's University to gather funds for the purchase of laptops for B40 students.  One of the main constraints to supporting online learning is the limited availability of devices. Results from a survey by the Ministry of Education (MOE) comprising nearly 900,000 students show that 37% of students do not have any proper devices. Meanwhile, only 6% to 9% of students own a personal computer and/or a tablet. This situation occurs when many households face financial problems. Even though a household has a personal computer, many would have to share it with other household members for work or study.Through this campaign, we aim to raise funds to purchase laptops for the B40 students. This initiative will help to ease the current education situation in Malaysia, whereby the recipients of the laptop are able to access online learning and receive quality education even as the nation faces a huge challenge in delivering adequate physical learning during the pandemic. So, what are you waiting for?Grab the chance now!A simple donation may not seem much, but it will change their life.
