Dear all, Typhoon Haiyan has occurred. It has taken the Philippines by storm. The worst is feared for at least 2,500 people and numbers are rising. This fundraiser is simple: to raise funds for relief efforts towards victims of Typhoon Haiyan. How can you help? Join me as I go mad and hope to raise S$15,000 for this purpose online. This is one of two fundraising avenues tied with the campaign: Bare Our Feet, Bear Their Pain(赤脚行动,心系灾民), supported by the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Ngee Ann Polytechnic. *ALL proceeds will be contributed to the Singapore Red Cross, for the specific purpose of emergency relief* We are running against time. The collective efforts for relief and rebuilding will take time, effort, and lots of hope. We may often feel to small to do anything, and think contributions amount to nothing. Yet, we don't have to be at the actual site to help. Well, at least we are doing something, than sitting at the screen having your hair raised with every picture of the carnage. Every bit helps, yours included. Through this portal @ simplygiving.com, you can make safe and secure donations directly to Singapore Red Cross. Paypal works well for various currencies too. The proceeds of your support are sent directly to this charity. Using this platform enables our monies to be handled in cost efficient way for the charity to raise funds. Through this page, you can also track the fundraiser's progress; share it with friends; and voice encouragement. Most sincerely, I appeal for you to join US as a giver for this humble effort - Typhoon Haiyan: Emergency Relief Funds. Please dig deep and donate, every little thing counts! Paying it forward, Glory
