My Story
Throughout my four months so far living in Battambang, Cambodia, one of my favorite aspects of city has been its rich arts scene supported by the Phare Ponleu Selpak school.
From the beautiful murals around the city to drummers and apsara dancers for Bon Ohm Touk to fire throwing performances, acrobatics and circus tricks by the Independence Monument to theater shows, breakdancing, and a plethora of visual art at the Chomnuol Art Fest, almost every Battambang event has been graced with Phare’s creative touch. Phare students incorporate both traditional styles and values and more modern genres and themes, preserving and actively shaping Khmer culture.
I’m extremely excited to support Phare and complete my first ever 30k cycle in the inaugural Sanger River Run fundraising event. I hope you will join me- any amount helps!
