Helping Children emerged out of mission work in the Philippines to help rebuild a church that was damaged by flooding due to a tsunami. Of course, seeing so many children and families struggling just to make it through the day impressed upon our hearts to act. Words are meaningless without action. Overtaken by the need to take action, Helping Children was established in 2008; we are an organization driven by God-spirited people working hand in hand over thousands of miles across the globe, with one simple purpose. We are a dedicated foundation; taking bold actions to get help for children in need. We know that each child - just as we do - needs love displayed in action, not just words.

Kehidupan terkadang memang keras dan terkadang mempunyai sebuah slogan "Siapa Yang Kuat, Dia Yang Menang" yang membuat kita harus mengelus dada. Dan sungguh miris rasanya ketika melihat anak-anak usia sekolah harus kehilangan senyum ceria dan waktu bermain mereka bersama dengan teman-teman seusianya. Karena mereka terpaksa harus turun ke jalan dibawah terik matahari dan hujan untuk membantu ke dua orang tuanya demi mencukupi kebutuhan hidup.Tak semestinya anak-anak yang masih berusia sekolah itu harus turun kejalan bekerja membanting tulang. Karena seharusnya mereka berada di lingkungan sekolah untuk mendapatkan ilmu pendidikan yang layak. Namun terkadang sebagian dari kita seakan menutup mata dengan hal tersebut, dan seakan membiarkan anak-anak semakin liar tanpa mendapatkan pendidikan yang layak yang di karenakan ke dua orang tua tidak mampu membiayai anak-anak nya untuk bersekolah.Pada dasarnya, anak-anak mempunyai mimpi dan cita-cita yang ingin mereka wujudkan kelak. Namun karena keadaan yang memaksa mereka, akhirnya mau tidak mau dan dengan terpaksa mereka harus putus sekolah serta terpaksa menunda mimpi dan cita-cita mereka. Rasanya saya ingin membantu mereka yang masih mempunyai keinginan untuk bersekolah namun terkendala pada biaya pendidikan. Akan tetapi apalah daya saya yang tidak bisa berbuat apa-apa kecuali hanya berdoa dan berharap semoga saja masih terdapat para dermawan yang bersedia membantu mereka untuk tetap bersekolah.Maka dari itu melalui media ini, saya berharap kepada seluruh dermawan untuk sedikit menyisihkan rejekinya untuk membantu anak-anak yang masih berkeinginan untuk sekolah namun kekurangan biaya, agar mereka bisa mewujudkan mimpi dan cita-citanya. Jangan pernah hilangkan senyum ceria yang pernah mengembang dari ke dua bibir mereka.

Martin lase is our second child. Since the age of 3 months in the womb there is a lot of fluid in his head that called hydrocephalus. He was born prematurely which made him undergo treatment in room Perinatology for 45 days and at that time the surgery mounting vp shunt (a device that serves to drain excess fluid into the abdominal cavity) for the first time. But the operation failed because Martin situation suddenly deteriorated and was immediately taken to the ICU. Indeed, before the operation, the state of fever and dehydration, but the anesthesiologist insisted to carry out the operation even though we've been refused on the grounds. Every risky operation even keadan patient is stable and said they could not put it off any longer since last week has been postponed. Earnestly we were very sad to see our child struggle is so great against the disease.Once the situation is stabilized, we brought home Martin for the recovery of his condition. And on 5 September 2016 and held a second operation running smoothly. But after a week we left the hospital, Martin fever for three days and we immediately took him to the ER. And it turns out that the second vp shunt infection in the abdomen and head and should be revoked. It devastated our hearts to hear the newly installed VP shunt should be revoked. But we were forced to agree because of harm to Martin. But Martin did not directly operated on because of a cough and high leokosit. So we waited for a month for drug therapy derive leokosit. In early October the third operation vp shunt removal was done and running smoothly. While in the hospital, there happens to be a journalist who ran a story about Martin's disease, but until now no one has reached out for help to Martin. Now she is 10 months old and still enlarged head size exceeds adult head even been operated 3 times in one state hospital wearing BPJS CLASS 3. We want to bring him to a better hospital more to provide maximum treatment again but we did not have a cost. Are there still a glimmer of hope for our son Martin Lase? Are there still who cares for him so he can smile with his life?
