My Story

Dear friends,

Thank you very much for visiting my personal fundraising page.  Through simplygiving.com, you can make safe and secure donations to sponsor bereaved individuals to adapt to life after the death of a loved one.

Since summer 2014, I have been providing free Ving Tsun (a form of Chinese martial arts) training for individuals who are adjusting to new life situations after losing a loved one.  Ving Tsun is a physically challenging and socially interactive sport, the practice of which helps my clients to set and achieve new goals in life.  Earlier this year, I formed a Ving Tsun Team with bereaved clients who participated in the 13th Hong Kong International Wushu Championship.  The team performed brilliantly and swept a total of 12 gold medals!  The bereaved clients have come a long way; improvements are not limited their physical strength but can also clearly been seen in terms of psychological and social aspects.

The team is growing in size and strength.  We now train twice a week.  Members are planning to enter the 10th Hong Kong International Wushu Competition this August.  My page allows you to follow the team's progress and voice your encouragement.  Proceeds of your support are immediately channelled to my selected charity, the Society for the Promotion of Hospice Care and will be designated to support bereaved individuals to participate in the competition this summer.  Please dig deep and donate.  Every little counts!
