Personal Challenge

My Story

Hi, thank you for visiting my personal fundraising page. After spending the first half of this year being extremely lazy, and getting very unfit, I decided to start running again. To try to help with motivation I decided to sign up for the Birmingham Half Marathon on 19th October 2014. My goal is to complete the 13 miles (22km) in one piece. I am running for charity so my pain and suffering can help a good cause :) I am raising money for the Elephant Asia Rescue and Survival Foundation (EARS). Its a relatively small charity that does fantastic work in SE Asia to help raise awareness about the plight of the Asian Elephant through various different projects. One project involves the welfare of two elephants, Kiri and Seila, at a Zoo in Kampot, Cambodia. This is where I learnt about the work EARS has been doing. If this project wasn't in place I wouldn't like to imagine how these two cheeky elephants would be living. They now have a daily supply of food live in a new large enclosure that was built by EARS. You can find out more about the wonderful work done by EARS at www.earsasia.org. Any donations will be greatly appreciated and really will help me to dig deep and get around the half marathon when the pain begins:). Once again, thank you for taking the time to visit my page. Vic
