Alien & Turtle

We are Alien & Turtle and are here to ask for your help with our social initiative program kino kino - community for cinema, philosophy and inclusion.

Alien & Turtle is a Singapore-based creative media production house and social enterprise (we are a member of raiSE) with award-winning projects, working across the 3 pillars of media production, education, and arts. (www.alienxturtle.com)

We use the power of stories to bridge gaps between the general public and marginalised communities.
kino kino is our social arm and education/social capacity program, linking education and creative media for social empowerment, promoting inclusion, learning, and idea exchange.

<> Fast Facts - Your Espresso Fix Summary:

kino kino is our in-house social arm - a new program with regular free events for the public in collaboration with social impact focus groups / charities, NGOs, NPOs.

We use the power of stories in film to discuss perspectives on everyday issues, and aim to break down boundaries between marginalised communities and the general public.
The main take-away for our participants is a deeper understanding and ability to engage in empathic communication and reflect on their own perspective in the context of wider society.

We need help from individuals and corporate sponsors. All sponsors will be part of our Thank-You-reel before each kino kino session. Be our "kin" (kino kino supporter)!

<>  How You Can Support Us
1) Become a donor and be a credited supporter in a special kino kino trailer before every event!

2) Become a fundraiser and help us spread the word and secure our program for the next year!
3) CSR packages: If you're a business or corporation, come on board as a corporate donor and let us help you with social impact - contact us for more at [email protected]

<> Some more Details

Our kino kino event sessions each have a unique theme that connects the movie we screen and our discussion. We promote inclusion and idea exchange for everyone and provide an accessible get-together alongside concepts to discuss everyday issues through philosophy and film narration, bridging our different experiences and perspectives through a shared movie and conversation. kino kino provides a safe space for a relaxed hangout as well as learning tools for critical thinking and empathic communication.

Over the course of 2019, we have been focusing on a range of communities and social impact sectors, working closely with NGOS, NPOs and charities.

We are endorsed by LearnSG, Accessible Arts Hub, the Disabled People's Association, raiSE SG and many other amazing project partners.

Welcome to the kino kino community!
