My Story

Hi, I'm Miza from WWF-Malaysia. Bornean elephants are gentle giants who care for their family and always protect their young ones just like we humans do. Although these elephants are a totally protected species in Sabah, however, these gentle giants are still threatened by poaching. Their tusks are being traded to fuel market demand for ivory, which is why poachers continue to kill them. Imagine if such cruel things happened to humans, we would never tolerate it. But what about these elephants? Ensuring their safety is our duty. WWF-Malaysia and our partners, including government agencies and NGOs, are working to save our Bornean elephants.
