Who are we? We are merely a group of students from DISTED College, Penang. We are here to do a Community Service, to help an NGO create their presence on social media!

If you didn't know yet, in the rural Malay fishing village of Teluk Bahang in Penang's northwest corner, local fishermen have been caring for cats for the past decade! Meanwhile, in the sophisticated city of Georgetown, just an hour away, homeless cats are found by kind people everyday in the ditches and drains, at markets and restaurants or they may simply have been dumped on the street. Where can they go? Can they find a place where they belong?

...And the answer is, Cat Beach!

As you may have known, there are not enough homes for all the animals that are born every year to live in. Adopting from a shelter helps weaken the pet overpopulation cycle. In every year, 8 to 12 million dogs, cats, puppies and kittens are euthanized because there are simply not enough homes for them...

And that is where we, as the community, comes in! You can help out the kittens at Cat Beach through donations. Financial donations make a huge difference for animal charities. Animal shelters need food, bedding and other supplies. Many need veterinarian care, medical assistance and spaying, or neutering. Your donations will help provide the care for the abandoned animals until a suitable home for them is found!
