About Event

A father and son team will compete on a double dare extreme sports challenges like no other, all in the name of AIDS.

Jeff Lau, Malaysia’s most prolific ultra-marathon runner and a dedicated volunteer of the Malaysian AIDS Foundation, is taking his commitment to the next level by joining the Swiss Ultra Double Deca Ultra Triathlon in Switzerland.

The gruelling event will see Jeff attempting to conquer a total distance of 4,520 KM under 30 days, corresponding to 20 times the triathlon long distance. The disciplines are completed in one piece: first 76 kilometres swimming, then 3600 kilometres cycling and finally a tenfold marathon (844 km running).

Equally extraordinary, Jeff's father, the 65-year-old Lau Pak Lam, will be participating in a parallel challenge, the Swiss Ultra 20 Marathons in 20 Days. As the event's name suggests, Mr. Pak Lam will strive to complete one marathon each day for a consecutive span of 20 days, traversing a total distance of 840 kilometers.

The father-son duo stands as the sole Malaysians daring to undertake these incredible ultra events. Their unwavering dedication to the cause is truly inspiring, and we kindly ask for your support in the form of a donation to the Malaysian AIDS Foundation (MAF).

All proceeds generated from the Double Dare Extreme Challenge for MAF will contribute to the expansion of the Medicine Assistance Scheme. This specialized program, established by MAF, extends essential subsidies for antiretroviral medication (ARV) to underprivileged Malaysians who are living with HIV.

Donation of more than RM100 is entitled to receive tax exemption receipt.
