After a successful Asean Unity Run last year, organiser Aman Malaysia are adding a 35km fun ride for its 2016 edition that will take place in Putrajaya on Nov 6.

The main objective for the event is to increase awareness for Malaysians and the region the importance to live in Peace & Harmony. Aman Malaysia remains committed to promote the country as a peace-loving society and unite all Asean nations to stand together. The secondary focus is to raise awareness on the importance of vaccinations for babies and children, especially amongst parents.

This year’s event will feature four competitive categories in the 10km run with the Men and Women’s Open along with the Men and Women’s Veteran groups.

There will also be a non-competitive 5km fun-run and parent favourite Stroller Run category with an additional category for volunteers and celebrities cycling with underprivileged orang asli as part of the “Lend Your Body” campaign.

Aman Malaysia, in working with global NGO Unicef, will also hold a series of campaigns and talks in September and October this year as part of the build up to the event.
