My Story

Dear Friends/Colleagues - Please lend me your support as I take to the road yet again, this time on a 5-day, 575 km cycling journey from Ottawa to Quebec City to raise donations for the Singapore Red Cross (SRC). All donations raised will go towards the following valuable programs run by the SRC: Transport Aid - The SRC provides subsidised transport for the financially-challenged, disabled and the wheelchair-bound elderly to get to and from their life-sustaining medical treatments. Food Aid - The SRC aims to provide monthly provisions of nutritionally balanced food for the most disadvantaged in our society, including the single elderly, single-parent households and notably the skip generation (grandparent-headed households), all with young children who have fallen through the assistance gaps in society. Red Cross Home for the Disabled - The SRC runs Singapore’s only home for residents with severe and multiple mental as well as physical disabilities. The Red Cross Home for the Disabled provides crucial long-term 24/7 residential respite and more recently, day care services to the most needy in our local community, including children.
