"Women Who Shine" in Hagar Cambodia - a photography project to raise awareness and funds for a human rights organization. "Women Who Shine" is a photo book series borne out of the creativity and passion of Hong Kong-based husband and wife team, Caroline Sze of Seasoning and Rico Tsui of An Ant Capture. The pair have been identifying different women around them as muses to style and photograph, to capture their individual beauty. Caroline and Rico believe that a woman's self confidence and inner joy are the essence of her beauty that shines through. The women hand-picked for the Women Who Shine project all have these things in common: they are doing what they are truly passionate about and are using their God-given gifts and talents to make their dreams into a reality. They are courageous. They are Women Who Shine. www.seasoning.hk www.anantcapture.com *** Women Who Shine X Hagar Project *** Caroline and Rico are collaborating with Hagar International in Hong Kong (see below) to produce another installment of "Women Who Shine". This installment will feature six women survivors of severe human rights abuse in Cambodia who are receiving recovery services from Hagar International and have consented to be part of the project. These women have survived unspeakable abuses in the past, but have now rebuilt their lives with the help of Hagar along the way. Today, they shine with empowerment, courage, and inner beauty. In August 2014, Caroline, Rico, and a small group of volunteers traveled to Hagar’s centre in Cambodia to style and photograph six women who will be profiled in this book. Watch this space for the exciting handmade albums and feature exhibition in Hong Kong which will result from this Women Who Shine instalment. *** Hagar International *** Hagar International empowers and restores survivors of severe human rights abuse (gender-based violence, exploitation, and human trafficking) in Cambodia, Vietnam, and Afghanistan.
