Picture: Spring Break Service-Learning Trip in Puerto Rico. Focused in Manatee and Clean Water Conservation

Hi there, I’m Amany! I really enjoy volunteering my time to conserve the beautiful marine environment. I’m going to Perhentian Island under Perhentian Marine Research Station (PRMS) this August.

This project aims to conserve and better understand the coral reefs and seagrass beds in the area: from encouraging recycling and composting schemes and running awareness campaigns, to conducting various underwater surveys around the islands and assessing if the marine park is benefiting the undersea environment.
