Personal Challenge

Diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Your donation and support will help change that today.

My Story

In light of the subsisting water issues in rural communities and rising number of disasters, the heart of WateROAM is to build a world where no man shall face prolonged thirst. Our goal is to help all of society be able to get water where it is most needed, when it is most needed, so that death by thirst and unsafe water will be totally eradicated. No more delays, no more prolonged thirst.

WateROAM is a water innovation enterprise founded in Singapore in 2014 to develop water filtration solutions that bring about the quickest access to clean drinking water at disaster-hit locations, and help to promote social change in rural development areas. These water filters are designed to be highly simple, portable, durable, and affordable, thereby improving the access to clean drinking water significantly. The social enterprise has since provided clean drinking water access to more than 25,000 people across Indonesia, Cambodia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines and as far as Vanuatu.

With our latest water filtration device, ROAMfilter Plus, we aim to reach out to 4,000 people in rural Cambodia through a deployment of 40 filtration systems. These systems will provide new access of clean drinking water to 40 different schools, villages, and homes. Majority of the rural population in Cambodia today are still drinking directly from wells or rivers. Every day, villagers are experiencing diarrhea and other waterborne illnesses, causing them to be unable to attend school or go to work. With your support, 6,000 adults & children will regain their ability to attend school or be present at work, thereby improving their life, living and livelihood massively. Donate to show your support for equal access to clean water all across the world today!
