Victoria's 10KM to support Angkor Hospital for Children

Victoria Telford is participating in GET ACTIVE WITH ANGKOR HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN!
and is fundraising for Angkor Hospital for Children

I am raising money for Angkor Hospital for Children. A non-profit children’s teaching hospital in Siem Reap that provides free medical care to marginalised children.

My Story

1 in 29 children in this beautiful country where I live will die before they reach the age of five. The incredible hospital where I am lucky enough to work is doing a lot to change that so I would like to ask you for just a wee donation to help. Of course I wouldn't ask without offering some act of ritual humiliation or pain, so I am going take part in my first ever competitive event - a 10K run. I will fight through the jungle-run elements - 35 degree heat, tropical storms, vicious insects, crocodiles (maybe), monkeys - all for your donations. Please give what you can! I promise you it will be well used at AHC.

Although the standard of living is steadily improving, Cambodians continue to suffer from widespread poverty across the country. Many of the preventable illnesses suffered by children are symptoms of this deep-rooted poverty: everything from lack of decent shelter, clean water and nutritious food make it difficult for children to thrive.  

I am running to make a change and improve healthcare for Cambodia’s children. Please donate to help me reach my fundraising target… Every donation, no matter how small really does count!
