I'm making a difference for the environment. You should too. Please support me by donating! (or volunteering or doing whatever that helps to restore the environment)
My Story
This is to help restore the environment and wildlife in Malaysia. Being an environmentalist, I am always aware of the destruction human has brought to the environment and wildlife. Just imagine being forced to move out and sleep on the street, it sure feels bad. Same do the animals that lost their natural habitats. WWF-Malaysia has come a long way since its arrival in Malaysia. From focusing on wildlife conservation to undertaking scientific field research, they are truly making a difference to help improve the situation.
What have I done so far to restore the environment?
Fundraising for WWF-Malaysia(a bit of a cheat to count it in now). Saving electricity and water. Carpooling. Composting. Planting my own food. Reducing, reusing and recycling.
By volunteering. So far, I have not joined any major volunteering group to help restore the environment yet. But don't get me wrong, I am keen to join one. If my fundraising target is hit before April, that means I have succeeded in this fundraising endeavour, and I will go a little bit further by joining WWF-Malaysia as a volunteer for a month during my next summer break to raise fund as well as build awareness of its campaigns and programmes.
So wait no more. Donate and feel good. Cheers!
FAQs
1. How much do I have to donate to show support?
- As much as possible, of course! (Just kidding, as much as your financial capabilities can afford.)
2. Does the fundraiser get part of the money raised?
- No, not a cent will go into my bank account. If in any case it does, I will donate the amount of money I got to WWF-Malaysia. I promise.
3. Will you still join WWF-Malaysia as a volunteer if the target is not hit?
- I might still join them as a volunteer, though I would not dedicate that much time as I might be doing internship with other corporate before heading to UK in September.
