Malaysia Covid-19 Response is fundraising for UNICEF Malaysia

I am privileged, on so many levels. In particular I have a wonderful family, amazing friends, a job I love and I live in a beautiful country that has allowed me to explore this part of the world and meet so many fabulous people, where the hospitality is outstanding. Despite the quick and successful government response to Covid-19, many Malaysians find themselves struggling to make ends meet. There is no furlough scheme here, and many Malaysians have had to think creatively and work hard to support their families. Children' education is also naturally a cause close to my heart and I want to use this fundraiser to support those who are most vulnerable . I am asking in lieu of any 40th birthday presents (30th September), that you please support this cause by donating whatever you can. Your contributions are most gratefully received. Troy x

My Story

Malaysia is home to around 31.7 million people in 2017, a third of which, are children.

So how is Malaysia doing?

Malaysia has made significant strides forward in reducing child poverty, eradicating diseases, protecting children from harm and bringing more children to school, both girls and boys. But not for every child.

There are still some children being left behind, and they are the most vulnerable and hardest to reach. Pockets of poverty remain and issues of inclusion and accessibility plague some of the most disadvantaged children.
