A Letter From Mother Earth

My dears,

I am planet Earth and I am writing this to let you know what I am going through. Mother Jupiter said, “I am the only planet in the solar system with water.” You know I am very special and you should take care of me properly.

I am home to bacteria and the dinos that once existed. Many beings are going extinct because humankind is exploiting me through unscientific development.

The alarming pollution rate pains me. You, cruel human beings, are polluting the water, air, and soil, releasing various chemicals every day as the waste management system is so disorganised. 

The air that I am giving you to inhale with happiness is getting drier day by day. The soil on which plants are living and the houses are built is filled with plastic. Since microbes can’t inhale, the soil is losing its fertility every day.

I fear that a day will come when there will be no water, trees, animals or birds. My dear friends who are reading this letter please put your hands together and protect me. If you do that you are protecting your own posterity.
