The Lost Food Project is a not for profit organisation that rescues quality surplus food and puts it into the hands of those that need it most. Each day, 15,000 tons of food waste is thrown away in Malaysia and 3,000 tons of that food waste is still fit for human consumption. Globally 820 million people are struggling every day to battle hunger. In Malaysia, 21% of children aged below 5 have stunted growth and 14% are underweight because of malnutrition. There is enough quality food produced and wasted in Malaysia to make it possible to provide 10 million meals every day to those in need. Help us to fight hunger in Malaysia and reduce the impact of food waste on the environment. A 20RM donation will provide over 100 meals to those in need and better still, RM100 will provide 500 meals to Malaysia's most vulnerable communities.
