Amazing Bike Ride 2017
My Story
Did you know?
- In cultures with unequal power relations between men and women, gender-based violence is common. One in five women in Cambodia aged 15 to 49 has experienced physical violence since the age of 15. [1]
- Research in Cambodia shows that LGBTIQ people themselves have identified equal rights as the most important priority to improve their situation. In particular, they articulated concerns about the right to adopt children, the right to same sex marriage and legal documents that reflect diverse gender identities. [2]
- The World Bank and WHO estimate that 15 per cent of the world’s population have a disability of whom 2.2 per cent have very significant difficulties functioning. In Cambodia, this equates to over two million people with disability and over 320,000 people with very significant difficulties. [3]
Your generous support will help address such issues, and will be invaluable to our commitment of raising 10,000 USD.
With love and gratitude,
Team OVAL
Ollie, Valerie & ALice
