Purrfect Paws Charity is participating in Virtual Fundraising by TARUMT Penang - A Civic Consciousness and Volunteerism Project
and are fundraising for Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology

Greetings to everyone! We are students from TARUMT Diploma In Computer Science, Group 1 Year 2 Semester 3 and we are excited to introduce our fundraising team to everyone of you, especially to those who are interested in becoming a part of us. We are a group of passionate individuals who have come together to support a worthy cause and are ready to make a difference by launching a cat charity to fundraise for Pertubuhan Pembela Kucing Pulau Pinang. “There are few things in life more heartwarming than to be welcomed by a cat” and therefore our mission is to always raise awareness and funds to support local cat shelters, rescue organizations and other cat-related charities. Although it may take quite a while of journey, one day you will find out that every creature has their own beauty and this undeniably the same goes to cats. Therefore, please do not hesitate as your donation can directly benefit the lives of these furry friends!

My Story

Along with the suffering of strays themselves, strays live dangerous lives and are prone to road accidents, vicious fights with other strays, starvation, and at times brutal human attacks. They are usually exposed to unhygienic situations which could lead to health hazards like choking, festering of wounds and developing skin conditions. Although pets are loved and accepted as members of the family across millions of households, many people still consider these furry friends a threat to human health and safety. However, despite being viewed as a menace to society, these strays contribute immensely towards the well-being and sanitation of the country. With the aid of TARUMT and the kindness of the people, we, a team that is made up of 26 people who share a love for animals, particularly cats and are always aware that there were many cats in the local community who were in need of help and support would like to committed to giving back to society by addressing the welfare of cats by fundraising for Pertubuhan Pembela Kucing Pulau Pinang (PPKPP) to assist cats in need. While cats make wonderful companions, many are abandoned or stray, requiring assistance from charity organizations that rely on financial support to operate. PPKPP has become our choice as it is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization, promotes responsible cat ownership, sterilization programs, medical care, and shelter for stray and abandoned cats, as well as animal rights advocacy and awareness-raising. The objective of this organization is to humanely reduce the outside cat population through Trap-Neuter-Return Management. Our minimum fundraising goal is RM1,200, though the final amount of every donation will go directly to PPKPP, allowing us to achieve our goals of helping out all cats in need. All in all, regardless of the result of the fundraising efforts, we hope that our minor efforts and contributions will improve the lives of cats in need through better medical care, food and shelter.
