Team Suzy Wong is participating in Bigger Than King Kong - A Football Fundraising Event
and are fundraising for The National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM)

Team Suzy Wong is participating in the Bigger Than King Kong 2019 football fund raiser and are proud to support the National Cancer Society of Malaysia. The National Cancer Society of Malaysia is a tax-exempt non-profit cancer organisation that provide screening and diagnostics; care for patients under treatment; education to increase awareness and early detection; and support for patients in remission through peer support groups and wellness programs to provide mental support. Please support us by donating a small token and help us reach our target.

My Story

We are a group of friends that enjoy the game of football. We enjoy a drink on occasion too. Although our wives say it happens more often than that. Someone once said, we are a Drinking Team with a Football problem.

Our good friend Ramanan Durairaj, in whose name the Bigger Than King Kong tournament is organised, was a valued member of our team and a genuine human being. Ramanan was first diagnosed with colon cancer in 2004 and had fought bravely for 14 years through numerous surgeries, courses of chemotherapy and radiation, and a slew of medical and traditional treatments.Throughout this time, despite the many rounds of hospitalisation, treatment and recovery, he continued to live life to the fullest - starting his own business, actively participating in social football groups, including Suzy Wong, and keeping an active social life. His passion and optimism led to the use of the phrase Bigger Than King Kong in reference to his approach to life.

We hope to make him proud this year by downing a few beers, kicking ass and winning the 2019 tournament !
