Make a difference with us ! We are raising RM 30,000 for Project S.H.I.N.E  to support the Penan Women Project (PWP)  

Project S.H.I.N.E is a medical outreach initiative where 15 pax of medical team & volunteers will be travelling to the Penan Settlement in Sarawak in late October 2018 to provide medical assistance, medical supplies ,offgrid solar panels & clean water filteration system to the Penan community for 7 days. 

How Success Resources got inspired by  Project S.H.I.N.E Initiative & decided to assist on the fund raising ?

While attending the Video Zero to Video Hero Video workshop recently,  we met Laura, Project S.H.I.N.E Coordinator.

We were asked to contribute to a cause via creating a video about it and Laura spoke up about the project that she is currently involved in and the rest is history!

She shared her presentation with Justin Teoh workshop participants and highlighted that the indigenous people in Sarawak have been marginalised because they do not have MYKAD - they do not have access to healthcare and schooling and are not able to get jobs. 

She then started Project S.H.I.N.E to raise funds and awareness of the Orang Asli plight as she came across a young girl Jasilia who wanted to go to school but was not able to because she did not have a MYKAD (Identity Card). 

Without a MYKAD, you cannot have access to schooling, healthcare or get a job. 

Jasilia's school has refused to accept her unless she has this document. In addition to that, Jasilia has experienced chronic eczema due to lack of clean water where she stays and no access to healthcare. Laura tried to contact people to help resolve the problem but unfortunately 2 years later Jasilia is still not in school.

Laura was inspired to help more kids and families hence Project S.H.I.N.E was created.

What is Project S.H.I.N.E ?

Project S.H.I.N.E stands for (Sanitation, Health & Hygiene, Impact, Nutrition, Education)

Right now, Project S.H.I.N.E goal is to raise RM 91,000 to impact 400 Penans in 7 days as the project will also be bringing the following items :

●       Logistics for 15 pax of medical team & volunteers for 7-days RM31,000

●       Medical supplies RM30,000

●       Offgrid solar panels RM 20,000

●       Portable clean water filtration system for 100 families RM10,000
