My Story
Alternative Schools is an educational project that aims to eradicate illiteracy among undocumented children. Initiated by UMS student movement back in 2016,free tuition was offered to these kids on sidewalk of the building. Now the Alternative School has 3 physical schools, regular teachers from among
local communities who want to contribute back to the community and number of students in the Alternative School now reaches 150 people. The focus of Alternative Schools is not limited to mastering
literacy and numeracy, this school also serves as a field for children to express, play, develop personalities, build morals and develop their potential.
These fundraising is mainly for full-time teachers allowance for a year, lunch food for kids, school expenditure and expansion work for cramped school space.
