My Story

Supertyphoon Rolly (international name: Goni), the most powerful storm of 2020 to date, battered Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol, and the National Capital Region on October 31 and November 1. An estimated 450,000 children and their families have been affected by this devastating storm. Typhoon Ulysses (international name: Vamco) has followed in the footsteps of Rolly, and has impacted Calabarzon and the National Capitol Region. Children affected by these storms need your help to survive, learn, and be protected. Their homes and livelihoods have been devastated, and they now need urgent humanitarian assistance.

SC Staff is encouraging you to support the humanitarian response of Save the Children Philippines for Typhoons Rolly and Ulysses.

"We understand we all have been through life-threatening challenges since early this year. Poor peso performance in the market, disastrous political upheavals, the COVID-19 pandemic that caused the creation of a severe “new” normal! To push further challenges, successive typhoons hit the Philippines, leaving some regions in need of assistance to survive. Amongst the most vulnerable, thousands of children were affected by typhoons Rolly and Ulysses across several provinces in Luzon, particularly in the Bicol region as well as the low-lands in Marikina and Rizal. We call upon your kindness and generosity to assist thousands of children and their families to restart their lives again" - Joey Parman, former SC Staff

About SC Staff
We are former employees of Save the Children who have joined hands with Save the Children Philippines to help create positive change in the lives of those severely affected by these recent typhoons. Your donations will be used to buy life saving items such as plastic sheets for shelter, water containers and safe potable water, family hygiene kits, and temporary safe shelters and children’s learning centers too! Please read the Save the Children link below that further describes the goals and the work they do. Then determine how much you will pledge to help us gather a pool of funds to accomplish this selfless initiative. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about this cause and our efforts to create positive change in the lives of these affected families - so that they may rebuild their lives again.
