PESONA is a support group for children diagnosed and treated for various types of cancer.  PESONA was registered as a non-governmental organization, aiming to help the children and their families as they embark on that long, difficult cancer journey.  90% of the families who are registered with us are from rural, small-income economic backgrounds, making it more challenging to cope with the test of cancer of their children.  Founded by an onco-mom herself who went through, saw and understood the difficulties faced by the whole family as their child was being confined to harsh oncology treatment in public hospital, PESONA takes pride in doing more than many organizations would have done for the onco children and the families.  Our belief is simple - A failure to continue oncology treatment in hospital because of poverty is indeed a TRAGEDY for the society, the country and the world, and we should all be ashamed of.  Therefore, we aim to make sure that these families are helped, especially financially.

We are based in Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia, and our kids are ranging from the ages of 1 day to 19 years old, with various diagnoses of cancer and are treated in various hospitals throughout Malaysia,
