Malaysian Animal Welfare Association

Malaysian Animal Welfare Association also known as MAWA was established on 19 May 2016 as non-profit organization by a group of freelance rescuers with more than 10 years of experience in handling and protecting the strays.

Our Vision:
  • To prevent animal cruelty and reduce the numbers of strays in Malaysia while protecting the animals rights
Our Mission:
  • To promote awareness on animal welfare by educating while protecting the animal rights and moving towards Zero Stray Nation
At MAWA, the priority of strays is the utmost important. We adhere to our mottos which are:
We Care – For the animal well being
We Love – To show love tender care for the animals
We Protect – To fight for the animal rights
Currently MAWA has more than 100 stray dogs managed in a small space. All the dogs were either rescued either from puppy or as sick and abandon by owner. MAWA believes in giving second chance to the stray.
MAWA has given more than 20 dogs for adoption within this one year.
